About Roland Reed

WELCOME to my Photography Website - My name is Roland Reed and I am an Artist.  I own Platinum Exposure Arttography LLC. In July of 2019 I retired from my day job and settled into Clarksville, TN and that my friends is where the magic begins. I love shooting on location and finding new locations to shoot at is always on my mind.   I take great pride in my work creating unique, memorable and professional results.  As Helmut Newton once said “my job as portrait photographer is to seduce, amuse, and entertain”.  I slightly modify that to include “My job as an artist…”  I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember.

Since childhood I was delighted in how a moment can be captured through the lens of a camera, and how time stands still within the frame of a photograph.  My personality provides an atmosphere to put the client at ease and when you can accomplish this there is a stunning difference in the photos you create together.  To see a model transformed from a regular person to a piece of art amazes me. I no longer wanted to view the art; I wanted to create it. I love to capture a feeling or a moment in a person's eyes and display it for others to define. 

If I am not shooting, you will find me exploring new technology or other techniques that will elevate my photos to another level. I am a graduate of New York Institute of Photography and a member of NAPP. I also am a member of the Professional Photographers Association. I am co owner  the editor, and creator of Dear Arabella Magazine and Alt Bella Magazine published every other month to support Indie Artists. I only use the most professional processing for prints or other print products through MPIX.COM and through Smugmug..
